Yoga asanas are best practiced on an empty stomach (wait at least two hours after meals).
Light, non-restrictive clothing, bare feet and a yoga mat will help you to experience an enjoyable, comfortable class.
Since yoga generates heat and sweat, please refrain from wearing scented body products while practicing.
For studio classes, try to arrive 15 minutes prior to the start of class to leave time for registration.
Always take rest (savasana) after practice. If you must leave early, exit the studio before others enter savasana so as not to disturb their rest period.
If you have any current injuries or medical conditions (joint problems, high or low blood pressure, pregnancy, recent surgery, etc.) be sure to communicate this with your teacher at the beginning of class.
